Management Tips
Networking with business owners to generate more sales
There's nothing wrong with networking. Business owners, no matter how
busy they are, should do it everywhere, all the time. But one of the best
ways to network is through "bridging," a strategy that helps
you build a foundation of contacts sure to provide you with sales opportunities
now and in the future.
What is bridging? It's connecting two people who have potential value
to each other and having faith that, eventually, the bridge will lead
back to you.
You can start the bridging process by following these steps:
• |
Know your goals and objectives |
• |
Understand how a contact's business works |
• |
Review your list of contacts in various
businesses |
• |
Qualify your ROI |
• |
Brainstorm with the people you've "bridged"
together |

Completion
Wizard Video

Do
add-on sales sometimes not make it to your customer's invoice? Are
you accounting for the full amount of time spent on a job? Should
some employees get a special pay rate for difficult jobs?
The Completion Wizard answers these questions! The Completion Wizard
closes out a job ticket to make sure an invoice accurately reflects
what took place and the full amount owed by the customer.
The Completion Wizard allows your office staff to:
• |
Capture the actual amount of time spent on the
job versus what was quoted to the customer originally |
• |
Post add-on products or services sold onsite |
• |
Add other employees who may have helped out on the job and
apply their payroll charges |
• |
Enter checks or credit card information for payment receipts |
• |
Change each employee's pay or commission rate to reflect unique
situations |
• |
Enter invoice notes for the customer's benefit |
• |
Options exist to batch mail, print immediately or e-mail the
finished invoice to your customer |
• |
Accurately account for the inventory consumed for the job
and deplete from the actual stock locations used to keep inventory
levels updated in real-time |
